Having already made the complicated decision to self publish my first novel, What The Butler Saw, from the several choices, I was further overwhelmed by the enormous number of companies offering this service. I phoned up one company at random. The man I spoke to gave me a great amount of information during our hour long conversation which was obviously an extremely well rehearsed sales pitch and promised me the earth for around ten thousand pounds. I extricated myself, with difficulty from his clutches and turned to some reviews. PublishNation came up as being an honest and down to earth company so I called them. From start to finish they have nurtured me through the process with professionalism and empathy, always making me feel valued and teaching me, in understandable bites, how to manage my book and kindle on Amazon, whilst keeping me feeling in control. I always know that I can email or call Gwen or David directly without long telephone queues or talking to people who don’t know me.
It was difficult to believe they would only charge £230 that included £40 for an illustrated cover which I didn’t need to choose and they didn’t ask for a penny until after I had received my actual book. They offer other services such as proof reading and marketing but there’s absolutely no pressure to use them.
The book looks even better than I expected with better quality paper and cover.
I definitely intend to use them for my next book which I’m already writing. I whole heartedly recommend PublishNation to anyone.
