"When I wrote A Self Contained, I ended up with 864 pages and not much idea of how to get them into the real world. I’m not much given to writing testimonials, but for those of us for whom the dream publishing contract is around another bend in the track, PublishNation is an excellent resource. I have three main reasons for saying this as follows:- By any reckoning, mine is a lengthy novel. I was greeted with some Wallet and Grimace estimates. I hope David doesn’t read this and put his prices up because he does the work for a lot less than many; The entire process is painless and fair. I’m a technophobe so David made my corrections where necessary. He provided clear guidance and I didn’t have to pay him anything until my book was ready; If you think that the above two reasons might result in an inferior product, you would be wrong. I did wonder if I might end up with a book with pages falling out but not a bit of it. The finished product is as good as any well produced paperback in a book shop. I am writing this partly to say thank you and partly to help others who have poured themselves into a piece of work and wish to take it further. If the dream publishing contract continues to elude me, I will have no hesitation in returning to David again."

Then I came across this new way of publishing which means I could have not just 30 copies for immediate family, but also all those American cousins can buy copies at no cost to me. Publishing this way has meant that I can afford it on my pension. I got lots of help as most of the time I did not have a clue what I was doing. I am going to keep up my genealogy hobby and I will write another book on another branch of my ancestors. Who knows, it might even end up as a series. There are companies out there who help amateur genealogists to do this and charge thousands per copy of each book! My book will not sell much as it is really only of I interest to my family but it is very affordable and I will know what I am doing next time. Thank you Publishnation"
